GORHAM, MAINE
Gorham, Maine is an historic village about nine miles West of Portland, Maine. Founded in 1736, it was originally named "Narragansett Number 7," having been granted to men who had fought in the Narragansett War of 1675. It's also home to the Gorham Campus of the University of Southern Maine.
DIRECTIONS FROM THE NORTH
- Go south on the Maine Turnpike and take the new exit – 7B Rand Road/Westbrook Arterial
- At the end of the exit, take a left. This will put you on Route 25. Follow Route 25 to the 2nd light.
- Take a left to continue on Route 25. (Don’t take Route 25B…it brings you onto Main Street in Westbrook and takes longer.)
- Follow Route 25 all the way into Gorham.
- You'll reach the intersection of Routes 25/202/4 and Route 114 in the center of town.
- Take a right onto Route 114. Go up the hill and you’ll see College Avenue on your left.
- #52, is the next house on the left, right across from the Congregational Church.
DIRECTIONS FROM THE SOUTH
- Take the Maine Turnpike North to the Scarborough: Exit 6A
- At the light at the end of the exit take a left onto Payne Road
- Follow Payne Road to the intersection of Route 114 (Sam's Club, Shaws)
- Take a left onto Route 114
- Continue following 114 - it will intersect with Route 22 at a light. Take a left at that light and continue on Route 114/22
- At the next light, take a right, continuing on Route 114, which will bring you straight into the center of Gorham village
- Go through the intersection and up the hill and you'll see College Avenue on your left.
- #52, is the next house on the left, right across from the Congregational Church.
